Multimedia Art: Cybernetic Artisans

It is no surprise that many talented artists have taken advantage of the possibilities of computer technology in their creative work.
With advancements in technology, many new as well as veteran artists are discovering what the latest computer technologies and the World Wide Web can do for them and for their art. Indeed, a whole new collection of artists have arisen whose primary influence is modern technology and whose work is to be found on the Internet. Much of the work they produce is wonderful and very often quite bizarre. When exploring the many Web-based art sites, it becomes obvious that these artists have striven to take their work to the limit, both technologically as well as conceptually. Indeed, this is quite an understatement in both instances! The other advantage that modern technology conveys on the multimedia artist is the possibility to acquaint themselves with the vast amount of Web-based work of their fellow cybernetic artisans. Therefore, they can not only display their own work to a large audience, but they can also take part in a larger community of artists from whom they can learn and draw inspiration. While many may still prefer to work in old-fashioned ways, the often-solitary insulation of the artist need no longer necessarily be an unavoidable fact of artistic life. So, if you are in for a new-age treat and want to see what the world’s creative spirits are seeking to create on the Internet, you require only an Internet connection, some hard-core software to handle the images and also a good deal of patience while they down-load! But, it is well worth the effort.

Paid Game Testing- Get More Video Game Tester Jobs In 3 Easy Ways

Video game testers are on a never ending quest for more testing jobs. As soon as a testing job ends, the next job search begins. Obviously it's a bit of a hassle, but it's a necessary evil for the benefits of the career choice. If you want to make it a less of a hassle, read these 3 simple tips.

Landing video game tester jobs seems to get harder by the day. More and more people are becoming aware of the benefits that come with professional game testing, so it only stands to get worse & worse. With that being said, you're best bet is to level the playing field by learning how to get better video game tester jobs more frequently. And, you can do that by reading the tips below. How To Get More Video Game Tester Jobs With Tip 1 First and foremost, get your head out of that paper. You're not going to find any high paying jobs in the newspaper, so stop indulging the fantasy. While you have your head buried in the classifieds section, other testers are taking testing jobs which could have easily ended up in your hands. Stop letting this happen and get active. Head to the companies, head to the developers, head to the independent publishers. The only way you will find a well paying job is to actually approach these companies & people and let them know who you are, what you do (professionally test video games), and why you would be an excellent addition to their "testing" them. You can either do this all through your resume (at home tester) or you can do it face to face with an interviewer. Either way works just fine. However, the interview is much more effective because it creates the impression of professionalism, in most cases anyway. Get Higher Paying Testing Jobs With Tip 2 If you want high paying video game tester jobs, you have to have more experience, period. The more experience you have, the higher your pay will likely be. If you are just starting out, you can't expect top dollar game testing jobs; so don't be surprised if you are paid the bare minimum. Luckily though, there is an easy way to appear more experienced and more professional. To do so, you must first start up a gaming website or blog. This blog/website will be used as your stepping stone for accumulating experience. What you will do is update the blog/website every few days with new information. Any type of gaming information will do; cheats, hints, tips, previews, reviews, interesting info on the industry, etc. And, if you could get some glitch/bug information on different video games, that would really be great. Promoting the site/blog isn't important, simply having it is. You can use this website or blog to show your level of video game expertise to any company you are applying to. Remember, experience counts; so the more information on the site, the better off you'll be. However, the website could actually hurt you if it isn't professionally built and/or has inaccurate information. Therefore, if you decide to create a website/blog to build credit toward your expertise, you had better put some time into it. Land More Paid Game Tester Jobs With Tip Number 3 You can easily get more, high paying video game tester jobs with the two tips above, but by following this tip, you may get even more. From the moment you begin your career as a professional video game tester, you have to start networking with others. Anyone who plays games, tests games, programs games, develops games, or is even around games, is someone you want in your network. The more people you know in the video game industry, the more strings you can pull when "job search" time comes around. It never hurts to have friends in the industry you are apart of; so be sure to work on that "friends list" whenever possible. The video game tester tips listed above can and will help you land testing jobs more frequently. But then again, they can only help if you take action. Game testing jobs are not going to fall onto your lap, so don't sit around acting like it. Get ready, get serious, and get out there! What Is VOIP, and Why Use It?

VOIP is short for Voice Over Internet Protocol and if you haven’t heard much about it you will very soon. This has become one of the most popular ways to make phone calls for people all over the world. It is type of data transfer program that allows you to use your computer to make phone calls. With a VOIP you have several options of how you want to place your call. You can plug it in like any regular type of phone. You can make a call from a personal computer to a regular phone or another VOIP phone. You can also make calls from one VOIP to another. The entire process works through a system that takes your voice and transfers it through the internet in the form of a digital signal. You can use them anywhere you have a home computer or a laptop. Since VOIP has become so very popular more public locations including airports, parts, coffee shops, and libraries are offering VOIP connections as well. There are many advantages to using VOIP and many forecast that it will replace all current phone lines in homes in the next 20 years. It is extremely affordable and many homeowners have found the monthly cost to be less than they were paying. For those making large amounts of long distance calls, VOIP is the way to go. You can get unlimited access for a low monthly price. Even if other parties don’t have VOIP they can call you for free. You can set up your phone so that the calls they make to it aren’t considered to be long distance. You do this by changing the origin of the calling area. You can change this as often as you need to in order to meet your calling needs. Many business owner’s have begun using VOIP instead of cell phones for their traveling business associates. They can make all the calls they need to without costing the company a fortune in the process. Since the calls sound so clear the VOIP has replaced some types of business travel. Instead of traveling, each party remains at their own location and they communicate over the VOIP system. The VOIP phone is the biggest expense but one that seems to pay for itself in no time at all. The prices of these phones have dramatically dropped with the release of the Apple iPhone in order to entice consumers to choose them. If you are interested in changing to VOIP for your home or business you can get further details from an authorized dealer. There are currently a few disadvantages with the VOIP system that they are working hard to remedy. If you don’t have a backup generator your VOIP won’t work when the power goes out. This can be a serious problem if there is an emergency situation unless you have another phone system in place. Even if you do have VOIP service you may find it isn’t able to connect to emergency services at the 911 call centers. Many VOIP phones can’t be traced by 911 either even if you are able to get the call into them. You will also find directory assistance isn’t readily available but you can always use your computer to find that information.

The best places to rent PS2 games online

Renting video games has never been so appealing as it does in this day in age. Many video game rental clubs offer PS2 game rentals, amongst many other console games, to the public for one low monthly price. Today, we will be investigating into which rental clubs offer the best quality and selection when it comes to your favorite PS2 games. As of 2006, there are 3 online video game rental companies that stand out amongst the rest of the pack. If your into video gaming, you might have heard of them. Gottaplay, GameFly, and Intelliflix are currently our nations leading chain of video game rentals. Below, we will be evaluating each of the 3 companies when it comes to PS2 game renting PS2 Game Rental Reviews Gottaplay PS2 Rentals Gottaplay rental company is fast becoming one of the hottest online video game rental companies in the US, trailing right next to GameFly . They are the first online company of their kind that offers phone support to all their customers, along with a massive game selection. Gottaplay has a large selection of PS2 games within their arsenal. Here are some of the stats that we came up with when reviewing this company 1. PS2 Game Selection : Roughly 700 PS2 titles 2. New Release Titles: All new releases were available as soon as they hit the local stores. Roughly around 75 new releases at the time of publishing this article. 3. Classic Game Titles : Many PS2 classics were included such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and other great titles of the past, present and future. 4. Hard-to-Find Games : Many games that we never even knew about were included within their selection. If you want to play a game with little or no popularity, Gottaplay has this covered as well. 5. PS3 Titles- Gottaplay will carry the most current PS3 titles once released. GameFly PS2 Rentals GameFly has been the online leader within the video game rental realm for quite some time. With a large selection of game rentals available reaching at over 5,000 titles, this company doesn't seem to be losing its edge when it comes to what they do best. One thing is for sure, when it comes to PS2 rentals, they cover the market with quality and selection. Lets take a better look: 1. PS2 Game Selection : Roughly 800 PS2 titles 2. New Release Titles: New releases are always available. Roughly around 60 new releases at this current time. 3. Classic Game Titles : Many PS2 classics are included, but the selection is not quite as comprehensive as Gottaplay's. 4. Hard-to-Find Games : With their large diverse selection of PS2 titles, hard to find games were easily found within their database. You'll find a great selection of "when did this come out" type of games. 5. PS3 Titles- GameFly will be one of the first rental companies to stock PS3 games once available. Intelliflix PS2 Rentals Intelliflix is looking to cover a wide variety of markets including movies, video games, and adult movies. Although they do cover a large area of rentals, they do not dominate within any particular market. Their plans are great for families that would like a one-stop-shop type of policy. When it comes to PS2 renting, they do carry a great selection of newer games, although their game selection isn't nearly as comprehensive as the other two mentioned above. They are still worth their weight in gold and worth mentioning for any PS2 game fanatic. Here is what we dug up. 1. PS2 Game Selection : Roughly 475 PS2 titles 2. New Release Titles: New releases are always available. Roughly around 50 new releases currently. 3. Classic Game Titles : There were a few PS2 classics available, but this company mainly focuses on their newer game titles. If your highly fond of classic PS2 titles, you may want to try GameFly or Gottaplay. 4. Hard-to-Find Games : There were a few scattered hard-to-find titles located within their database. 5. PS3 Titles- Intelliflix will also carry PS3 titles once released. I think any company serious about game rentals will have these titles covered.
